Here we have an exciting Centre Counter game played by Paul Hatvany against Sven Zeidler of Nationwide. Paul was conceding a huge amount of grading points but made this a valiant struggle.

 

Indeed Paul should have had a decisive winning move. After 21. d6! (FRITZ says  +2.65)….Paul did not play this because he failed to see that, after:

21......   Ne6

22. NxN    BxN

He would have the excellent:

23. d7 

 

Nonetheless a great struggle and quality chess.
